At Fun Quest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, adventure begins with a distinctive red deer mascot. Bold and full of energy, the character became the starting point for Funlandia’s approach to the project.

If “Quest” is about exploration, the space should invite children to do more than move from one attraction to another. It should give them a thread to follow, leading them from the entrance through jumping, climbing, navigating obstacles and imaginative play on an adventure of their own.

With this idea at its heart, Funlandia connected themed design, functional planning, equipment selection and on-site installation to bring the Fun Quest brand story into a physical space.

Bringing the Brand Character into the Space

The deer mascot was integrated into the design from the beginning. Appearing at the entrance, on barriers, across equipment surfaces and within soft play features, it creates a visual thread that accompanies children through the park.

Distinctive reds, yellows, blues and greens, together with arrows, checkerboard patterns and stripes, extend the brand’s visual language throughout the space and along its play routes. Each area has its own atmosphere, while remaining part of the same Fun Quest world.

As the character moves from promotional imagery into the venue, a brand that families recognize online becomes a place they can experience, photograph and share.

Following the Quest Through Play

A shared storyline brings purpose to the mix of attractions. Funlandia organized the space around age, activity level and the need for family companionship, allowing children to explore different routes while giving everyone in the family room to enjoy the visit at their own pace.

The blue trampoline zone opens the adventure with bouncing and physical challenges. A trampoline grid, rotating sweeper, interactive jumping and reaction games, and a zipline with an airbag landing offer a variety of ways to play.

A relatively separate professional trampoline area adds further levels of challenge.

In the main play area, the adventure extends vertically.

A multilevel Indoor Playground, a Rainbow Net spanning two levels, tube slides and a large ski-style attraction approximately nine meters tall connect crawling, climbing, running, sliding and jumping into a continuous three-dimensional adventure.

In the role-play area, exploration shifts from physical movement to imagination.

A miniature supermarket, kitchen, music room and small reading nook create familiar everyday settings for children to explore. An interactive ball wall, sand play area, ball pit and building-block room continue the sense of discovery at a scale suited to younger children.

The Coffee seating area and party rooms provide space for parents to rest, families to connect and children to celebrate birthdays.

Together, these spaces balance energetic activity with quieter moments, and individual challenges with time spent together. The visit becomes a fuller family outing, with opportunities for play, refreshments, relaxation and celebrations.

Turning the Story into a Working Venue

A compelling theme needs the right space and equipment to support it. A varied play offer also depends on clear relationships between the different areas.

How the site is used, how active and quieter zones are arranged, how different age groups are accommodated, how consistently the theme is carried through, and how faithfully the design is installed all shape the visitor experience and the venue’s subsequent operation.

For Fun Quest, Funlandia coordinated functional layouts, themed design, equipment configuration and on-site installation from the initial space-planning stage. The brand, space and play experience were developed together within one integrated project plan.

The result is a clearly themed, fully equipped indoor entertainment destination designed to accommodate family play, leisure and celebrations.

Conclusion

An Adventure Brought to Life

As the red deer mascot moves from brand imagery into a real environment, the Fun Quest story makes the transition from concept to experience. Children discover an adventure they can step into, while the client gains a venue designed to support ongoing operation.

From brand identity and spatial experience to equipment planning and on-site delivery, Funlandia’s comprehensive approach helps turn a project vision into a working destination. Design serves the visitor experience, the play offer supports operation, and the brand becomes a visible, memorable part of the space.
