Setting a New Benchmark for China’s FEC Industry
Party Day is one of the most influential and fastest-growing FEC brands in China in the past five years. Since opening its first location in Shenzhen, the brand has been committed to becoming the largest and most innovative FEC operator in the market. Each new project—in Wuhan, Hangzhou, Xi’an, and now the new flagship in Shenzhen—has been a breakthrough, ensuring Party Day’s continuous leadership in China’s FEC industry.
As Party Day’s long-term strategic partner, Funlandia Design Studio has consistently supported the client in staying ahead of the competition—through innovative design, product development, and seamless project delivery. We have become a key driving force behind their ability to achieve continuous innovation.
This flagship project is located in one of Shenzhen’s most important shopping malls, scheduled to open in 2025. Positioned in a prime retail destination in China’s innovation hub, the project was expected to become a major attraction for local citizens and a showcase of Party Day’s brand leadership.
From a design perspective, the project required solutions for multiple key challenges:
The central attraction had to deliver a stunning visual statement.
The play experience had to be diverse, multi-layered, and appealing to a wide range of young adults.
The park needed to transform in the evening into a dynamic party space, integrating DJ performances and nightclub-style ambience.
The highly innovative design concepts had to be translated into engineering drawings and precisely delivered on-site with advanced materials, lighting, and technology integration.
Funlandia Design Studio developed a comprehensive design solution covering experience, visuals, and technical delivery.
A multi-layer play structure was created:

Climbing structure with safety harnesses.

Enclosed net courses and elevated trampolines.

interactive games inspired by Moment Factory experiences.
This layered design fully utilized the vertical space, creating a seamless 3D play journey.

Inspired by treehouse aesthetics, but reimagined with modern materials: wood, metal, glass, and distressed steel finishes.

Integrated LED screens, neon lights and programmable lighting to build a futuristic, almost surreal environment at night.
A large steel platform at the top of the structure was designed as a DJ stage.
The integration of music, lighting, and immersive atmosphere allowed the park to double as a unique party venue for young adults.
Our engineering team converted innovative design concepts into precise technical drawings and automated production parts.
Automated fabrication minimized on-site errors and shortened construction timelines.
Collaboration between designers and engineers ensured faithful realization of complex lighting, material, and structural elements.
All delivered in compliance with ASTM and EN safety standards.
Leveraging the park’s corner location on the 4th floor, with large glass facades facing the main city road, we designed the attraction to function as a “living advertisement.”
The LED screens and lighting displays became visible to both pedestrians and passing traffic, enhancing both the mall’s visibility and Party Day’s brand appeal.
The Party Day Shenzhen flagship successfully achieved its strategic goals:
Established a next-generation flagship store in China’s most competitive city.
Delivered multi-dimensional entertainment for young people, from team-building groups to friends enjoying nightlife.
The flagship became one of the mall’s anchor tenants, attracting significant foot traffic and establishing a powerful brand showcase both inside and outside the mall.
Introduced a bold new visual style that strengthened Party Day’s unique brand identity.
From concept to installation, the project was executed with high accuracy, safety, and reliability.
Funlandia Design Studio was not only a designer, but a true strategic partner—helping Party Day push boundaries and set a new benchmark for the Chinese FEC industry.
